I'm still sinlge!!!

I’ve been studying for the past 18 years (for those who doubt… its like this… 2yrs of KG, 12yrs of schooling, 4yrs of BTech)

The answer to Y has come… to become a “Computer Science Engineer”

This reminds me of the message my friend forwarded once

“THE ENGINEERING PREAMBLE

We the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much for so long, with so little knowledge that we will one day qualify to do anything with knowing nothing… Proud to be an ENGINEER”

In spite of being an engineer… what else did I gain in my past 22 years life… may be a decent job… lots of friends… memories… and… and what… I cant figure out… may be there are lots more… which I dint even recognize

But I started this post to emphasize on the subject “I’m still single”

“Still” single???

“Still” means lots of people make their life partners during their college life… (God knows how many of them become real life partners… I’m not on a debate for that). But still they dare to find one even though. And some extra ordinary (I should say that) find one during their school life itself

I lived in the same world as they did… I still live in the same world as they do… then y am I “still single”

Is it the dignity

Is it the lack of opportunity

Is it the improper usage of opportunity

Is it anything else!!!!!!!!!

But one thing... I’m happy the way I’m now

And that’s the important thing in life... Be happy... no matter u r single, double, triple, quadruple etc etc....................

P.B. Thank you for wasting your time

The Lasts' in CET Life- Part 2

The Last Class <<

@Room No.3xx, CET: April 19th

The last class was no different than the rest. But the teacher threw us out towards the end of the second hour… but that was what we wanted… and even if she dint we would have got out after the second hour… cause it was “Pandi Day” and we had to do the make up.

The Last Demo Week: Day3: The Pandi Day <<

@CET: April 19th

This was one of the days of the DEMO WEEK. Demo week usually lasts for one week (the five working days). But this time our beloved principal (I even don’t know his name… so u can see how significant is our principal’s for CETians) gave the red signal for the demo week. But then someone told that it’s allowed during 12-1pm.

Speaking about the pandi day… it was one day in which I could see almost all of my batch mates in that allotted one hour. Almost all… participated in the pandi day… never before seen colors caught my eyes… Still don’t know how Divya managed to get a sari like that!!!

The Last Demo Week: Day2: The School Day <<

@CET: April 18th

What remembers me of the school day is principal catching Jas’ hand and dragging her out of the class… That was a school day indeed… cause never in college I’ve heard principals doing that… only in schools I’ve seen such acts by headmasters… So one for sec I thought… if we acted like students in school… then the principal acted like the headmaster of the school. !!!!!!!!!

Luttu’s tight shirts and the shorts were commendable.

The Last Demo Week: Day1: The Black Day <<

@CET: April 17th

This was one day I had longed when I was in the first year. I had then made up my mind to act like Hrithik Roshan in Ek Pal Ka Jeena of KNPH. But I missed it… cause I dint come online the previous day (all activities of the college are discussed online). The demo week usually starts on Monday and since nothing happened on Monday… I thought it was cancelled… But somehow the union members got it approved from the princi on Monday… which I dint knew. So it remains a black day for me…

The Last LH Day <<

@CET: some Friday in March

Well the LH Day… its not only the hosteller’s day… but the day of the CET feminists… cause u get to see all the girls in some extra ordinary dresses… be it saris as they call it or any sort of it… and for us guys (I mean the singles) its just a waste of time cause we don’t wish to see any of them in those cladding even though they wish to show us… Anyway it’s once in a year opportunity to get inside a ladies hostel… So we make sure we don’t miss it!!!!!!

P.B.: by feminists… I just meant the females [;-)]… nothing else

The Last Job <<

@CGPU, CET: some Sunday in July ‘06

Well this was my first as well as the last job I could get from the CGPU. After trying my luck in Symphony, Infosys and Wipro I got into TCS. Well Infy and Wipro simply rejected me even before writing the test cause I had got another thing in my hand which I received as a present when the s5 results came… which almost 75% of the CETians have or had in their four years of life@CET.

I dint stop trying for a second job cause I knew there are other companies which could give better compensations… but none was there for me

After all I’ve no regrets… cause I believe in the saying “Sambavichathellaam nallathinu… Sambavichu kondirikkunnathum nallathinu… Sambavikkaan pokunnathum nallathinu” {“All that happened was for the good… All that’s happening is for the good… And all that is going to happen is for the good”}

The Last Class Tour <<

@Bangalore, Goa, Coorg: Aug ‘05

Its still a question unanswered that y dint we go for a tour in our final year… may be when everyone was interested there was none to organize it and when Abdu came to organize it, none was interested. Everyone blame it on others… But the whole class is responsible for it. It still remains as a discussion topic in codemasters 03-07@Orkut.

Well this tour was named as our Industrial visit. So we had to visit at least 2-3 companies in order to get the permission… So we were in Microsoft GTSC, Huawei and D-Link. But the walk thru the busy footpaths of Brigade Road and the rest on top of the unknown compound wall looking at the traffic was really exciting. And the dialogues made by jindan, maakkan, kuthira, ananth after having their dose of the………. And the bet between kuthira and josef… the kabaddi at goa beach… the DCH fort… Dew’s tooth… the TT at coorg international… the dance… all remains in my memories.

The Lasts’ in CET Life- Part 1

This post has no connection with the CET LIFE band or CET LIFE song.

This is a glimpse of my four years of life at CET, in CET, with CETians and as a CETian.

.The Farewell Dinner <<

@Sindhoor Palace, Kowdiar: May 3rd

As everyone says I too call that a farewell dinner… but I dint find a farewell touch in that… none did cry… none did any boring speeches or dialogues… Only thing I could find was Go, Jas and Tomy (Anju Govind, Rajani JS, Serin Thomas…. these original names might help in case the memory gets weak) getting everyone’s autograph. If that was excluded it was much like a lunch break in class with the difference that almost all including the GUYS were present. But unfortunately I saw Jas shedding some tears and Anna Paul in a gloomy mood. Rest of them were OK… don know whether they suppressed their emotional feelings in their hearts or was suppressing their contentment that they need not be with people like these anymore.

<< The Photo Shoot <<

@CET: May 2nd

We decided to cover the college in the cam… started from our very own department… thru the workshops… the CGPU… our s7,s8 class… the hallway… then down to the lobby, the college front, and the “pancharakkadu”(four years down the lane I'm still single and looking even though there is a lovely pancharakkadu and hell lots of chics… yuk… how can they be called chics… but still I agree there is one,two here and there) and finally the Lords… the place where we refresh ourselves… that includes Ananth’s & Pai’s room. I still don’t remember y we missed the photo shoot out inside the room… but that room will remain in our minds even though there isn’t a photo to refresh our memories.

<< The Last Series Exam <<

@Software Laboratory, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering: May 2nd

I don’t know how many series exams I’ve written so far in CET… But experts say its 101.

Speaking about the series exams… I don give a damn about it… No… I do care; but not in the way I had written my school term exams… It was like writing ftgwvctewnmiudfafddf (even I don’t know wat I’ve written in those series papers which fetched me some below average marks in the sessionals). If the sessional marks were put aside I found myself in the top15 of my class… and when they get included I climb up to the top 40.

“The last sentence was jus for me and me alone to get a satisfaction after 10 years that I was studious ;-)”

<<H The Last MH Day <<

@Men’s Hostel, CET: April 20th

The caption itself is self explanatory. MH Day is all about the food and the drinks. The final year’s say its their last MH Day… so we gotta enjoy it… The juniors say its MH Day… so we gotta enjoy it… I’ve heard about the passing the torch and all… but I’ve never seen it cause as soon as I got my tummies full, I leave.

<< The Last Lab <<

@Software Laboratory, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering: April 20th

Having some knowledge in C++, I was considered in the elite group of programmers of the class during s3. But then I realized that what I do in 1 hour some do in 1 minute… So I shifted from the slow track to the fast track. Ever since then naaru (Narayana R) has been mine and almost the class’ entire source.

This reminds me of Vaalu’s (Anoop B. Valamkot) sincere attempt to help everyone in s6 when he found out all the useful files for the lab from /tmp/ and put it in a folder named “kk”. KK was a hero for us… even though we dint know who it was…Finally Vaalu himself revealed the hidden identity.

But… I dint write anything about the last lab… Well the last lab was almost the same… We had to complete some programs… I don’t know how many… cause its naaru’s responsibility. As soon as naaru finishes one, we ask the file name… then alas!!! Its there… in our folder. I think the scp command was made by whomsoever bearing in mind that there would be people like us who will make the full advantage out of it.

The Farewell

The last post was a little bit……….. (no words to describe it) since most of the readers dint understand a thing cause the author (ME) himself doesn’t know what he has written. Before I could make anything into the PART2 of Life’s a journey, I got another one to jot down… So Life’s a journey will continue sometime later when I try to figure out what I’ve written in part1… For the time being I’ll write about the…………….. (Better read on or else u might stop here)

This is my fourth year in college, fortunately and unfortunately my final year.

Fortunately because I’m going into a new world, A world of the corporate’s (may be not that fortunate enough… God knows)

Unfortunately because I’ll be missing college, college life, friends etc etc etc.

When u say missing… what exactly do u mean…

This is one thing I keep thinking on and on.

The following lines might sound a bit weird but that’s my point of view

The “missing” is the word all of us, including me, use when we say farewell to something or somebody. But how long do we exactly miss them… a month, a year, a decade.

All of us has bid farewell to our lovely old school days and school mates. How many of them do we keep in touch with? At least how many of them do we remember now? And how many of them remember us?

After all this is life… We cannot clinch on to a particular age… We have to move on cause if we do or not, others will.

One more chapter of my life going to an end. This is what I call a junction in the journey of life. I’m about to reach a junction. The map shows lots of routes emerging at the junction… not just three like the real world. Which turn do I take… may be the corporate path… I say may be cause I haven’t reached the junction yet.

The only difference in this journey is that there is no reverse gear and u cannot take a u-turn. But…. u can see the paths travelled thru… the rear view mirror shows it all even when u take turns at junctions. and that view is what i call memories of my life. And I won’t miss anything in life cause as long as the mirror is clean and my eye-sight fair enough, I can view the past- my good times as well as my bad times.

Can this be Part2 of my previous post… but I call this as just a part of part2.

The Journey

PART 1

Yep… Life is like a journey, a journey in which we are the vehicle… form the two wheelers to the four wheelers and if you are fortunate enough u’ll have to be those cumbersome load carrying vehicles or simply lorries. The roads also, wouldn’t be always fair on your part; sometimes bumpy, sometimes narrow; sometimes heavy traffic and at times highways (six lanes, may be four lanes).

What the….. I’m talking about… well read on if u haven’t left yet

Birth is the source of the journey rather the starting point and death is the final destination. There are various paths to the destination. Everyone one of us is heading towards it…. some paths are short while others are long and some even longer and some even more (no not longer… its) shorter. The people we meet during the course of the journey are those sharing the roads with us. We call them as family, friends, colleagues, mates etc etc. But at some point of our journey the roads might be deserted with u n u only. And that’s when u say u are all alone in life.

The Beginning

Blog - Another one thing in my life which I should have started out early

Anywayzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz here goes

WARNING: Blogging is injurious to health and wealth and……. etc. So only those people who have ample time to sweep off should read this blog.

© 2007
No part of this blog may be copied or reproduced without the prior permission of the author… unfortunately that’s me Azher Ibrahim

“The Beginning”

The starting part is the toughest… That’s y those boring DISCLAIMER, WARNING stuff came in the beginning. But I mean it… really (so those who value time… leave asap)

Don’t worry about the title “Hello World” … This isn’t a tech blog.

The “Hello World” title came jus cause me being a COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEER and for all those non compsci’s who dint understand it… HELLO WORLD is the gateway of the CompSci’s.

Well my blog will be about my experiences of life, experiments of life, life I’m living now etc etc etc

To be continued………………………………..

N.B.: COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEER – in caps cause am proud to say that
